Tim Hightower Signs Deal With Washington Redskins

Evan RoysterTim Hightower has signed a one year deal with the Washington Redskins according to a reliable source. However, Hightower himself tweeted about the deal, with the message “I'm back” alongside himself in a Washington Redskins ball cap. The New England Patriots were also interested in Hightower. In 2011, Tim Hightower had 84 carries for a total of 321 yards, as well as a touchdown in the five games that he played that year. In the 2010 season, lineman Vonnie Holiday as well as a draft pick were traded for Hightower.

Hightower's twitter message sparked several responses. Evan Royster tweeted that it was great to have Hightower back, and Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald congratulated him on Twitter as well. Royster also teased Hightower about getting out the offseason workouts because of the contract. Hightower also responded, saying that Fitzgerald helped him get back onto his feet and thanking him for it. Fitzgerald added that Hightower never actually left his feet. Last year, Hightower suffered from a torn anterior ligament that took him out of play for the year.
