On Sunday, October 7^th, the San Diego Chargers the New Orleans Saints face off in Week Five of the regular season in a game at 8:20PM Eastern at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The overall record for these two teams is Saints 0-4 and 0-1 in the NFC South and Chargers 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the AFC West. The most recent meeting between these two teams was on October 26^th, 2008 when the Saints were able to take the Chargers by five points ending 37 to 32. Before that, it was a game at Wembley Stadium on November 7^th 2004 that went to the Chargers.

The last time that these two met at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome was all the way back in 1997, so the Chargers may have forgotten what that was like. This game is an all important one for the New Orleans Saints, and more importantly for Drew Brees. He is attempting to break a record set more than 50 years ago of 47 games in a row with a touchdown pass thrown. The last time that Brees was not able to get one was in the 2009 game on October 4^th with the New York Jets. With playoff games, his streak is at 52 right now.
