The Patriots and Denver Broncos have met once already this season, when in week 12 of the regular season the two teams produced one of the games of the season. Denver jumping out of the gate and blitzing New England, to take a 24-0 lead into the half time interval. The second half saw an astonishing come back by the Patriots, who recovered to take the game into overtime, and then finished off their comeback by winning 34-31 in overtime. Legendary quarter backs Tom Brady of the Pats and Peyton Manning of the Broncos, will meet for the 15th time in their iconic careers, with Brady able to boast of ten victories in their clashes to date.
The New England Patriots secured their place in the AFC Championship game, their 11th appearance, thanks to a 43-22 victory over the Colts last weekend. Those 11 Championship games have seen seven Patriots successes. The top seeded Broncos had more of a fight to take their place in Sunday's Championship game, as they overcame San Diego 24-17, with Manning throwing two touchdown passes, and running back Knowshon Moreno scoring another. Denver's home record is an impressive 8-1, and they have outscored their opponents in those matches by 340-197.
